A September Mourn

A day in September that we’ll never forget
Our way of life… suddenly taken away
America was attacked by flights full of terror
Our Nation became one… as we vowed they will pay
Twin shiny brothers reaching up to the sky
Mortally wounded bleeding smoke and bright flame
Fighting hard not to submit to the pain and the terror
Knowing that life… will never be the same
Each finally gave in to the pull of the earth
Without warning or notice they dropped to the ground
Thousands of lives snuffed out in a horrific crash
Changing the world… with a deafening sound
Raining steel, concrete, dust, smoke and fire
A cloud of death and destruction hung low in the air
Families, friends, heroes and innocence dies
Overdosed on reality… it’s just too much to bear
America and it’s people are stunned and in shock
It’s our darkest hour … but our brightest will soon come
We will not stand by and allow this to happen
For our enemies… there is no place to hide, nowhere to run
You will pay for the terror that you brought to our shores
A mistake you just made… with your cowardly acts
For the Giant just woke and is no longer sleeping
Now it’s your turn to suffer… as America reacts
Make no mistake about it… we shall survive
The torch of freedom… turning night into day
Tears for our nation fall all around the world
And everywhere it’s echoed…God Bless The USA!
